GENERAL RULES AND INFO
Each team will be made up of (8) eight drivers. Race teams will be made up of (1) one driver from each group.
Team Entry Form must be filled out and submitted before the first race of the season.
$20.00 entry fee must be paid before first race, so that all serious entries can be set up on our scoring system. A reasonable grace period will be allowed, but no trades will be allowed until all monies are paid in full.
As in golf, the lowest score wins. Points are added to total score according to finish position. Example: 1st place finish = 1 point, 43rd place finish = 43 points.
Pole winner will have 10 points deducted from total race score. Example: If pole winner finishes 6th, that driver will score -4 points. (6-10= -4)
If one of your team drivers does not qualify for a race, they will be given 45 points for that race.
Although initial picks are from groups of drivers, once drivers are established points will be added according to that drivers car. In other words if your driver can not race, or is removed from his race team, you will still be awarded the points that his car earns from his replacement driver. In the event that this car is no longer competing, you will be given a free trade for one of the three remaining drivers in the same group. (This will not be allowed if the car has tried to qualify but failed)
Other possible scenarios:
- One of your drivers changes teams or drives another race car: You will continue to accumulate the points of that driver.
- One of your drivers(1), replaces another one of your drivers(2) and driver(2) does not have a ride:
You will continue to receive the points from driver(1), but now will begin accumulating points from the driver that takes over his car
number. If nobody takes over the car left by driver(1) you will be given the opportunity to pick another driver from the same group.
In some cases you will end up with two drivers in the same group. This will be considered "The lucky Dog" or 'luck of the draw'
This could get complicated, but if other scenarios arise we will look at them on a case by case basis.
You will have three trade options throughout the race season up until the final chase begins. No trades will be allowed once the chase (final 10 races) starts. This will give you the opportunity to make some strategic moves during the race season.
If you change your driver, you will begin accumulating points earned by the new driver starting with the race immediately following your driver change. You will still maintain all points previously earned by the driver that you replaced. Remember, if you wait too long to replace your driver, they may accumulate too many points and never recover, but on the other hand if you change too soon, you may not be giving your existing driver time to shine. He may cause you to waste a trade that would do you more good in another group. Driver trades can be found by going to the Team Profiles page.
If you would like to change your driver you can phone Sue or Bill or E-mail your change request to Nascarpool mail . We will acknowledge your change by return mail. If you don't get a response before the next race please call to make sure that the change is made for you. Changes must be received and acknowledged before qualifying begins.
Final scores will be calculated according to Official Results. Scores may be temporarily updated before Official results are available.
Signing up late, (after the first race)
A new team joining up after the first race, or after the scoring sheets are set up for the first race will receive the maximum points that could be received for that race or any subsequent race until the entry form has been received. This means that they will be given the points for the worst finishing driver in each group for that race.
Payout info:
100% of money pooled will be divided and paid out after the last race.
The number of payout positions will be determined when we have a final count of the total number of entries.
Teams that finish in the money, but end up in a tie will split evenly the money earned for the two positions. In other words if (2) teams tie for first place they will split evenly the first and second place payouts.
Rules and Info are subject to changes and updates.
Please check regularly for new info.
